Where it all started
Adopt Me Meow started in 2018 when a couple of girls did fostering for several local adoption agencies. After doing this for some time, they realized how rewarding fostering cats can be, so they decided to start their own cat adoption non-profit. And thus, Adopt Me Meow was born!
Several years and hundreds of cats later, Adopt Me Meow is still going strong. Kitten season in Southeast Texas is rough on everyone, especially the abandoned and feral cats of the area, and Adopt Me Meow has strived every year to make things easier on mamma cats and the shelters who end up needing to support them.
We are constantly working to help more and more cats each year, but our resources are often running thin.
Here at Adopt Me Meow, we are a non-profit that relies heavily on donations made by generous people in our local area.
These donations are split between paying for supplies for all of our cats, including litter and cat food, and our ever-increasing vet bills.
We run through so many supplies here at Adopt Me Meow. Between hundreds of pounds of litter to thousands of cans of cat food, keeping these kitties safe and healthy can be costly. But nothing trumps our vet bills.
To ensure a happy and comfortable life for our kitties once they are adopted, we provide all the initial vet services as a part of our adoption fees. This includes deworming, vaccinations, and spaying and neutering.
